Well know it or not, I worked in a bakery for a very long time. L.A.’ins would come in all the time and ask what was in our cakes and pretty soon, I just started makin shit up. “Hi, what’s in your carrot cake?” . . . “”MM, ribs and raisins” . . . Then not to be such a smartass, I’d actually try to tell sell the cakes. I’d say, “Look, man, if you haven’t been to church today, don’t even worry about it, cuz you bout ready to have a spiritual experience. Here have a a piece and go to church on a Tuesday. Hell, say what up to God for me. You know he lives in there, right next to the raisins and right behind the carrots. It worked, if smurfs can live in mushrooms, it is possible that God lives in cakes.
