MMMM, WELL, I did this as a part of a series for a show in 2004. At the time I had noticed a lot while workin out man. . . so , i just thought it was funny to put a lady in the buck on a treadmill. People, if you ever noticed are VERY serious when workin out. In the zone if you will, but i thought it would be a lot funner and funnier experience if people were in the buckies running on that thing, some would be down right nasty, but regardless. L.A., it is meca for “keepin it tight” so I thought , hell, why not make a little picture poo about a lady runnin her ass off to her to L.A., only to find out, there’s just nothin but MORE runnin to do when she gets here. Title: “God Does Too Live in Cakes . . . Yes He DO”

Well know it or not, I worked in a bakery for a very long time. L.A.’ins would come in all the time and ask what was in our cakes and pretty soon, I just started makin shit up. “Hi, what’s in your carrot cake?” . . . “”MM, ribs and raisins” . . . Then not to be such a smartass, I’d actually try to tell sell the cakes. I’d say, “Look, man, if you haven’t been to church today, don’t even worry about it, cuz you bout ready to have a spiritual experience. Here have a a piece and go to church on a Tuesday. Hell, say what up to God for me. You know he lives in there, right next to the raisins and right behind the carrots. It worked, if smurfs can live in mushrooms, it is possible that God lives in cakes.

This is a picture I drew for my friend Laura Anderson for her birthday. She is an amazing lady who loves angel and is one herself. She has helped me a lot in my life so I wanted to paint an angel to keep a watchful eye on her at all times, but she is an angelface lady, plus I just love writing angelladyface over and over again. I hope it catches on . It could be the new God. No? . . . maybe.
